Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Neuroendovascular / Stroke

Three 12-Hour Shifts/Week

Position Summary:

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), a member of MedStar Health, is seeking an experienced, certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to become part of our established multidisciplinary Stroke Intervention team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of neurology or neurosurgery experience; stroke experience preferred. In this role, the nurse practitioner will perform initial and ongoing patient assessment and physical examination, and will develop diagnostic and treatment plans in collaboration with the attending neurovascular interventionalists, stroke neurologists, and neurocritical care specialists. In addition, the incumbent may provide procedural assistance in the Interventional suite. The nurse practitioner will have a keen interest in participating in and expanding the neurovascular intervention program as an integral member of the team.

Anticipated schedule: three 12-hour shifts/week, rotating day and night coverage with the APC team.

The program is a part of MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center's larger neurosciences platform that includes all subspecialties in neurology and neurosurgery and a 15-bed dedicated neurocritical care unit.
