Position Summary:

The Division of Gastroenterology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a hard-working, well-trained gastroenterologist to join the Advanced Endoscopy team.

The Division of Gastroenterology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a hard-working, well-trained general gastroenterologist to join the Advanced Endoscopy team to complete his/her Advanced Endoscopy Training Fellowship. Individuals are appointed for one year as an instructor with the privileges of a junior attending at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) and are expected to participate in ongoing clinical research projects during their year of training.

The program is focused on training in pancreatobiliary disease diagnosis and interventions and includes training in ERCP, cholangiopancreatoscopy, pseudocyst drainage, single-balloon enteroscopy-assisted ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound. Approximately 750 ERCPs and 900 endoscopic ultrasounds are performed each year at MGUH. In addition to the above opportunities, training in other luminal procedures, including GI stenting, EMR, pneumatic dilation, and confocal probe exams, is also available.

*Applicants are required to have a medical degree, be BC/BE in Gastroenterology, and be eligible for medical licensure in Washington, D.C.

*Applicants must have completed residency and gastroenterology training in a U.S.-accredited program and must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
