Position Summary:

Benign Hematologist MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute, located in Washington, D.C, invite applications for an academic benign hematologist to join an active group of 3 other academic benign hematologists at Georgetown University. Responsibilities include overseeing the outpatient care of patients with all manner of benign hematologic conditions, inpatient rounding on the benign hematology consulting service, fostering and directing new clinical trials, mentoring junior faculty, as well as medical student and house staff education in an ACGME-accredited fellowship program with an appointment commensurate with experience.

The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with outstanding clinical, basic science, and population science research programs and departments. Medstar Georgetown has the only comprehensive hemophilia treatment center for adults in the District of Columbia. Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center is the only NCI designated comprehensive cancer center in the District of Columbia.
