Position Summary:

MedStar is currently recruiting a Chief Physician Assistant to oversee MedStar Emergency Medicine.  5+ years of EM-specific clinical experience is required with 3+ years in a leadership role. PA will maintain their skills by providing a regular clinical schedule as well.

Position Highlights:
  • Assist with human resources, operational, and clinical challenges when necessary. Forecast PA vacancies and align recruitment strategies to secure qualified candidates. Work with the administrative leaders to maintain smooth recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling processes.
  • Represent PAs on the MedStar Emergency Physicians (MEP) leadership team and manage communication to MEP PAs. Mentor Lead PAs and lead professional development activities across MEP to develop talent within.
  • Develop and maintain the strategy for the roles of PAs in each department within the MEP group. This includes working with the Lead PAs and Chairs to define local roles and responsibilities. Ensure all PA standard policies and procedures are followed.
