Position Summary:

MedStar is currently recruiting for an experienced emergency medicine physician assistant for our MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Two-plus years of emergency medicine experience is required, as this is a night-only position dealing with very high-acuity patients.

MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a 912-bed, academic medical center in the center of the nation’s capital. We are the busiest and largest hospital in Washington, D.C., and the surrounding area—and serve as a referral center and the central hub for the region’s most advanced acute medical care. The emergency department is a 46-bed facility with 87,000 visits annually.

The ideal candidate will share our vision, practice the highest quality of care, and want to be part of a world-class department of emergency medicine. Must have a minimum of three years of experience. MedStar Emergency Physicians is composed of five top-tier emergency departments in the mid-Atlantic region. The team is composed of more than 175 board-certified emergency physicians and physician assistants who care for more than 340,000 patients annually. We are committed to practicing state-of-the-art, patient-first emergency care and furthering our specialty through the development of innovative programs in emergency preparedness, information technology, transport medicine, event medicine, emergency ultrasound, critical care, and sports medicine.
