Geriatrics Physician with MedStar Health in Baltimore, Maryland

Position Summary:
We are looking for a geriatrician to join MedStar Health Geriatrics and Senior Services at our MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital locations in Baltimore. In this position, you will enhance the care of older adults in the hospital through inpatient consultations. You will collaborate with multiple teams, including hospitalists and surgical specialists in orthopedics and general and cardiac surgery. You will have many opportunities to improve systems of care within the hospital for older adults, including guiding the implementation of a new Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) care program at MedStar Good Samaritan. Depending on a candidate's interests, this position also has opportunities for teaching internal medicine residents, as well as a nursing facility medical directorship. This role allows you to have a set Monday through Friday schedule without any in-person weekend call obligation. You will be joining a team whose mission is to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for complex older adults across the continuum of care.
Candidates must be board-certified in geriatrics.
