Infectious Disease Physician - MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.
The Infectious Disease Section at MedStar Washington Hospital Center seeks a full-time physician to start in the summer of 2022. MedStar Washington Hospital Center is an 800-bed hospital and the largest in Washington, D.C., and the Infectious Disease Section consists of 6 full-time clinicians and 4 fellows. The patient population is varied and requires well-rounded expertise ranging from the outpatient management of HIV and hepatitis C to the inpatient evaluation and treatment of complicated infections.
Teaching abilities are required, as the ID attendings work closely with ID fellows, Internal Medicine residents and other learners, and opportunities for clinical research are available.
Applicants must have a medical degree, completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine, fellowship training in Infectious Diseases and a license to practice medicine in Washington, D.C., or the ability to obtain.
