Position Summary:

Nephrology Physician – PRN – MedStar Washington Hospital Center

The Nephrology Section at MedStar Washington Hospital Center seeks a Nephrologist physician to work PRN. We are looking for a nephrology hospitalist to provide coverage for the inpatient service. This includes consultative nephrology and ESRD management, including hemodialysis, CRRT, and peritoneal dialysis. Coverage of outpatient CKD clinic for 1-2 sessions/week preferable (on-site at hospital). Alternatively, a nephrologist can provide outpatient care in our CKD clinics and ESRD management, along with hospital rounds. Coverage options include either Monday through Friday plus one weekend every 3-4 weeks or per hospitalist model of 7 days on/7 days off.

Medstar Washington Hospital Center is an 800-bed hospital and the largest in Washington, DC. We have an active internal medicine residency program. Applicants must have a medical degree, completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine, fellowship training in Nephrology, and a license to practice medicine in Washington, D.C., or the ability to obtain.
