Position Summary:
The APP participates in bedside procedures, including central line placement, comprehensive bedside ultrasound, arterial line placement, endotracheal intubation, dialysis catheter insertion, chest tube insertion, lumbar punctures, and EVD maintenance.
Additionally, the Advanced Practice Providers lead our Rapid & Sepsis Response Teams, providing emergent bedside analysis and coordination of care throughout the hospital setting.
Schedule:
- Full-time Nocturnist
Education/Licensure:
- Current BLS/ACLS certification.
- Successful completion of an approved Physician Assistant program, board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and registered/certified by Maryland Board of Physicians (MD BOP).
- Graduate of an accredited acute care NP program and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
Qualifications:
- One year of hospital medicine experience preferred, ideally within a critical care or neurocritical care setting with experience in advanced procedures.
