Position Summary:

MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking an experienced PRN Nurse Practitioner for their Pre-Anesthesia Testing Department at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. The provider, as needed, shall conduct preoperative/pre-anesthesia patient review of systems and/or history and physical on any patient undergoing anesthesia; order, review, and communicate findings appropriately of required laboratory tests, diagnostics tests, and physical assessments; and conduct appropriate patient education activities and interventions related to perioperative care. These clinical functions are performed under and in collaboration with the general medical directions of MedStar Medical Group and the specific medical directors of Pre-Anesthesia Testing of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
