Position Summary:
This position is available to an FNP or Acute Care nurse practitioner. The CRNP will travel on a full-time basis to the following sites in the Baltimore-region: MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, MedStar Harbor Hospital, and MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.
In this role, the nurse practitioner will provide clinical and professional medical services to surgical and medical patients requiring multimodal pain management care. The CRNP will actively collaborate with anesthesia team members, surgeons, and staff on inpatient units to identify and treat patients with chronic pain, chronic opioid use, nerve blocks, epidural or peripheral nerve block catheters, and other consults as requested by surgeons/other physicians. In addition, the CRNP will be responsible for performing H&Ps, creating assessment and care plans for APS patients, post-op visits, and educational activities for the patients. This role has the potential for occasional nights and weekend coverage.
