Pediatric Hospitalist
Full Time, Part Time, and PRN

Position Summary:
MedStar Medical Group is currently seeking pediatric hospitalists to join our team in full-time, part-time, and PRN positions for our programs at two locations: MedStar St. Mary's Hospital and MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital, both located in Southern Maryland.
Our pediatric hospitalists will have responsibility for providing high-quality medical care to pediatric patients admitted to our inpatient pediatric unit, delivery room, newborn nursery, and ER consult. MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital is a 250-bed, full-service acute care and 24-bed, sub-acute care facility with approximately 65,000 emergency room visits and approximately 19,000 admissions each year. Our pediatric hospitalists cover the special care nursery (Level II NICU). MedStar St.Mary's Hospital is a full-service hospital, delivering state-of-the-art emergency, acute inpatient, and outpatient care in Leonardtown, MD. Our pediatric hospitalists cover a seven-bed pediatric unit with a daily census of 0-4, ER consults, and newborn nursery, as well as attending high-risk deliveries and C-sections.
The ideal candidate will hold current Maryland licensure/eligibility and be BC/BE in pediatrics. Recent pediatric hospitalist experience and skills in neonatal resuscitation following the current NRP guidelines, including intubation and line placement, management of general pediatric disorders, and stabilization prior to transport, are required. Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a wide array of professionals are essential. Several shift opportunities are available.
