Position Summary:

MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking a System Medical Director for Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT). The Medical Director will be responsible for all operational functions of PAT, oversight of all staff personnel involved in the PAT process, developing/maintaining current PAT clinical guidelines, and identifying areas of improvement within PAT. The Medical Director will also participate in the development of a Perioperative Surgical Home model to optimize care for our elective surgical patient population. This position will primarily sit in our D.C. PAT Call Center, but will require system-wide travel on a regular basis.
