Transfusion Medicine and Staff Pathologist - MedStar Washington Hospital Center
The Department of Pathology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center is recruiting for a leader of Transfusion Medicine and Staff Anatomic Pathologist. MedStar Washington Hospital Center is an 850-bed, acute care, academic medical center, the largest in Washington, D.C., and is part of MedStar Health, serving as a major tertiary care hospital for the metropolitan D.C. area.
The candidate must be board-eligible/certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology, in addition to being board-eligible/certified in Transfusion Medicine. Depending upon experience, the candidate will become either Associate Director or Director of Transfusion Medicine. MedStar Washington Hospital Center is a major Trauma Center for the region and has an active Cardiovascular Surgery program.
The candidate would share general anatomic pathology duties with the nine-member team, as well as provide specialty services in Transfusion Medicine.
