Position Summary:

MedStar Urgent Care Centers are quickly growing in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore regions! We are currently seeking a full-time physician with experience in occupational health leadership. This opportunity is a hybrid clinical and administrative position. The physician will be expected to provide approximately 20 hours per week in growing our Occupational Health division and other administrative tasks. Clinical experience in urgent care and/or emergency medicine is a must; 2-3 years of experience in occupational health is desired.

Clinical Expectation:
Work a minimum of 80 clinical hours per month in our Urgent Care Centers. Our facilities are staffed with both full-time and part-time physicians and APPs. We see patients of all ages that vary in acuity level. Procedures may include suturing, fracture care/splinting, reading wet x-rays, and interpreting EKGs. Physicians needs to be comfortable with overseeing and mentoring APPs both remotely and on-site.

Administrative Expectation:
Provide approximately 80 hours per month in administrative time. Primary focus will be to oversee the clinical delivery of occupational health services to ensure the corporate goals of service, employee engagement, and patient experience are accomplished and maintain a culture that focuses on quality medical care and customer service.
